The Heights Urban Empowerment is a Latino-led nonprofit created with this understanding: to truly change a child’s life trajectory as they transition into adulthood, children must gain the confidence that can’t always be taught in a classroom.

Providing a safe and supportive environment for low-income youth of Upper Manhattan & the Bronx where they can discover their potential through outdoor adventures and the martial art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, building self-esteem, leadership skills, and a lifelong passion for learning.
